I want to send notifications via SMS to my technicians. How do I configure it in ServiceDeskPlus-MSP?

To send SMS notification to the technician, you first need to get the SMS Mail ID from your service provider.

Then go to Admin -> Technician and edit the technician to whom you want to send SMS notification. Update the mail ID under the SMS Mail ID field. This will send SMS notifications to that technician.

Currently, the SMS will be sent only through e-mail.i.e., the SMS ID for each technician will be configured as his mobile nummber (say 9840842143@serviceprovider.com). The notifications is triggered to the mail ID which will in turn be converted to SMS and sent to the technician’s mobile number.

NOTE: For SMS to work, the service provider should have the facility to send SMS from e-mails. Currently, ServiceDeskPlus-MSP does not support external SMS server.
